Langkawi, also known as the Jewel of Kedah. It is introduced as a region and an archipelago of 99 islands in the Andaman Sea with 30 km of distance between the mainland coasts of northwestern Malaysia, in another word, Langkawi Island is not a single Island whereas it is a cluster of 99 islands. The whole Langkawi Island, also named as Pulau Langkawi is a part of the state of Kedah, Malaysia and it is near to Thailand as well.
